We tracked the vocals for the new song on Tuesday, went well. We got the familiar voice of Chris Robertson on the track and in some vocals on Turkish Surf. Now final touch ups on Monday and then off to mastering.

Music Video Update:

We shot the music video for Mercenary this weekend. Helen Raine and her crew are awesome, was so great to work with them! We are very excited to see the final product. We will keep you posted.

Gig News:

We have a show at Zula Bar in Cape Town on Friday the 2nd of April with The Lua Union. Promises to be a great night.

Thank you to everyone who came to watch us with Ashtray Electric and Wrestlerish, it was a superb show. We played a new song, tentatively named "Apollo".

Tour News:

So things are falling into place nicely; once the video is complete we will be working on a tour up to Pretoria and Jo'burg later in the year.

Gig News:

We have a superb show with Wrestlerish and Ashtray Electric on Friday the 26th of March at Mercury in Cape Town. Wrestlerish are releasing their album on this tour to the Cape, so we all going to bring our A-game.

Music Video News:

Another meeting has decided, after many postponements, that we will definitely be shooting the video for Mercenary on the weekend of the 26th of March. Very excited.

Album News:

We recorded another track last week, adding finishing touches soon, and then we going to master it. This song is probably the rawest of our songs, we are proud of it. Mike, the graduate, has been working hard on the album design. This album is going to be a honest piece of hard work from the four of us.

Merchandise News:

Financing the video and album is kind of costly, but as soon as we have some clarity from our respective ATM receipts, we are going to make something to keep you warm in winter, sipping on a coffee or tea, late at night, listening to our album, watching the trees.

Slowly but Surely

So we making progress with our recording, ironing out details and stuff. Music video is postponed to be shot by the 27th of Feb. Its eleven days till Johnny Foreigner so we getting very excited for our first gig of the year!

Things are taking its time with James R sorting out stuff for his studies in England, Jimmy getting involved on film sets with massive explosions, Mike plying his trade at making his mark at tech in CT and Rob learning how to become a teacher. If "The Past is a Grotesque Animal" then the future is an androgynous fetus: Unknown but exciting none the less :)

Recording Update #2

We received the remaining tracks and we are extremely happy with how things have turned out. So far we have seven tracks "tracked" haha and are hoping to add one or two more this month. Release date and gig news coming soon.

Other great news is that we had a meeting today with Helen Raine and co from CT re: a music video. Looking forward to it, we doing a video for "Mercenary". The video will be shot by the 7th of Feb and then the editing begins...

Johnny Foreigner confirmation

We have been included in the line up for the Stellenbosch leg of the Johnny Foreigner tour. The gig is at Klein Libertas on the 17th of February.

Recording Update

We have received three tracks, the remaining four we'll get this week. So far we are very excited with the tracks! We going to take a listen then do some final touch ups. Tim Rankin has done a fantastic job with us. Champagne.

At the same time we getting ready for our first few gigs of the year, one of which, is with touring UK band, Jonny Foreigner. We going to open the show but its still awesome to be in the line up :)
